Last week I had the chance to go to an impromptu blogger meet-up. I was so excited to finally meet up with Tracey from GEN321. We have been twit pals for a minute. We met up at They Say, a bar in downtown Detroit along with Inez of Style Chic 360 and Erika of Love and Style by Erika. It was great to meet these ladies. We had a wonderful time enjoying the open mic performers at They Say. Some of the performers were entertaining and some …. not so much. But we kept ourselves entertained by commenting back and forth about the performances via twitter.
One of the performers, Misty, had an amazing natural fro-hawk! I had to get a shot of her. And she could sing her tail off too!! Folks know they can sing in Detroit! Hence why we are Motown!

I love how the blogger community embraces each other. I must say that I have not received shade from anyone. I look forward to meeting up with these ladies again when I’m back home in Michigan.

It was so much fun meeting up with you all! I can’t wait to do it again. I have some exciting things I was telling Erika about today, to pitch. I will keep you posted once I get everything together in my head!

I love my DSLR. I had to bite the bullet and purchase one, but I’m so glad I did. I’m still working on how to master my camera. I need a lesson in night time photography.
