It is wonderful to live alone. You get to live where you want, decorate your place how you want, and act how you want. If you want to #NetflixandChill all day, that’s your prerogative. You can turn the volume up to your favorite trap song as loud as you want and no nagging roommate can complain. Nobody can tell you shit. Had a long hard day at work? You can come home to a quiet place and be moody AF without hurting anyone’s feelings.
Living on your own offers so many freedoms. But there are often times when you wish you had someone around to help you with the little mundane things. Like zipping up your dress in the back. Or someone to help you get something out of reach. Below are a few hacks that every women – or man – that lives alone needs in their life
- Triple View Professional Over The Door Dressing Mirror – Sometimes we put on clothes and want to know how we look from the back. This mirror is like having a dressing room in your own bedroom. You don’t have to walk out the door with the possibility of looking crazy anymore. You can see for yourself.
2. Zipper Pull – Now you can zip your dress up with ease. You will never have to ask for help with getting zipped up again. Now you can do it yourself! No more struggling with back zippers.
3. Grip ‘n Grab – This tool helps you grab objects in hard to reach areas. It can fit behind furniture, appliances, crawl spaces and other hard-to-reach areas.
4. Recycle Cart for Recycle Bins – I hate taking out the garbage and recyclables. It’s the one time I wish I had a significant other to do it. Yes, I’m into gender roles. I kid. But taking the garbage out is not fun. Unless you live in an apartment and can throw your garbage in an incinerator. But if you have a house, then taking out the garbage can be a huge chore. This cart will make it easier. You can use it to store your recyclables and wheel it down to the end of your drive way on trash day.
5. Non Slip Jar Opener – Sometimes you need extra strength to open jars. But living by yourself, there isn’t anyone around to help. No worries! Open stubborn lids with these flat rubber pads.
Living alone may mean being able to leave your clothes on the floor, use the bathroom with the door open and using all the hot water you want but there can be a few difficulties. Hopefully, the above hacks will make living alone easier – because it’s so hard.

I don’t live alone, but I definitely wouldn’t mind having that recycling cart, the three-way mirror or the Zipper Pull!
