I did it! I wore shorts!

I’m still in Michigan and the temperature yesterday was 94 degrees!! I decided to put on some shorts for the 1st time in years.  I haven’t worn shorts in so long because I thought they only looked good on skinny girls.  And I’m far from skinny anymore.  Now back in the day, you couldn’t tell me anything.  I wore what I wanted and looked good.  But getting older and weight gain has deterred me from wearing shorts. (Excuses! Excuses!)

I went shopping the other day and decided to try on a pair just to see how they looked on me.  I decided on a boyfriend length. Anything shorter would have been too much.  I’m not trying to show all my goods.  I really liked the shorts I tried on and bought them.  I decided to put them on yesterday and test them out while running errands.  I really like them.

I have been doing a lot of protective styling with my hair by twisting them and leaving them twisted for a few days. But I’m not brave to wear my hair out twisted unless they are pinned up.  I was at Target grocery shopping and found some cute inexpensive fedoras.  And they actually fit my big head.  But I don’t think they will fit once I wear my hair out.  I really like it. Now I have something to cover my hair when it’s in twists.
