Last week I went on a ski trip with friends to Steamboat, Colorado. We came from all parts of the country and met up for a week of skiing. I have been a skier since I was a child, but I don’t know anyone that lives in the city that ski. So any opportunity I have to go skiing, I jump at the chance. We joined the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) at their ski summit. The Summit is a biennial fundraiser, bringing together well over 5000 people from all across the country for a week of winter sports fun. Summits are held during odd years. The primary purpose of this fundraiser is to support the NBS Olympic Scholarship Fund, designed to provide financial support for exceptional athletes of color who excel in winter sports. The intent is to propel these young athletes to Olympic and international competition. In addition, funds from this event support the operation of the National Brotherhood of Skiers.
I had the most amazing time with friends. We rented a huge house and there was zero drama! My kind of trip. This was my first time skiing in Colorado and it was fantastic. It literally took us 45 minutes to get down the hills. This will definitely be an annual trip for us.

I love that you do so many things… I don’t think I could ever go skiiing – I hate snow and cold! But it looks like you had a blast! 🙂
