I swear last week was a very busy week for myself. I think I was out and about every night during the week. I even double dipped one night and went to two events. The first event of the night I went to was a Converse event for a new shoe launch. Like many events in New York City, there was an abundance of food and the drinks were flowing.
Above are some of the new shoes that were displayed.
I’m wearing:
UK Style by French Connection Chambray Shirt | Vintage Stretch Denim | Steve Madden Intyce Boots
I went to the event with my friend Leesa. I look so miniature standing next to her!! I did the whole denim on denim look. Nothing fancy, just an easy outfit.
Somehow I managed to get a picture with this tall tatted up man. I put a call out to my Twitter and Facebook family and found out he was a basketball player (which I sort of assumed). I didn’t have any clue who he was and was too embarrassed to ask anyone at the event. His name is Chris “Birdman” Anderson and he plays for the Denver Nuggets.
I headed to my friend Marie’s Birthday Party after I left the Converse event at rmfifty5 in the Dream Hotel.
Marie (B-Day Girl), Sendy & Myself
Doesn’t Marie look fab? She had such a good turn out that the venue wouldn’t let anyone else in. I’m not sure if they were not letting anyone in because of capacity or because none of us had the complexion connection. That story is for another time and another blog … I’m thinking Yelp. *sigh* Nonetheless, I had a fun time kicking it with my friends while it lasted.

I have been looking to be more creative with my time and decided to do a DIY for Marie’s birthday gift. Stay tuned on how I made her a Hair & Body Pamper Jar.
