Yesterday was a long day. I booked the Grand Circle Island tour with Aloha Tours. My 1st luau was booked through them too. So far they have proven to be an excellent tour company. I haven’t had any complaints so far.
The island of Oahu is beautiful with its majestic landscapes. I am in heaven. We started our scenic drive along the slopes of Diamond Head. The drive took us past old Hollywood film locations of Jurassic Park, Lost and a few others. We even got to see the set of the new Hawaii 5.0. where they were actually filming. We had several stops along our tour and were able to take some cool scenic pictures. We travelled to Nu’uanu Pali lookout where we had a beautiful panoramic view of the island. The tour included many attractions such as Chinaman’s Hat Island, Halona blowhole, the cities of Makupu’u and Kaneohe. We were able to see the North Shore surfing beach of Waimea Bay. And we drove past he surfing town of Haleiwa where the surfing homes of legendary brands like Roxy and Rip Curl reside. We stopped there and snorkeled for turtles. Let me tell you, I’m a really good swimmer but that tide was rough. Those ocean waves aren’t for the faint of heart. Goodness! The last stop on our tour was at the Dole Plantation where I enjoyed some delicious ice cream. The Dole Pineapple Whip was the bomb!
