A couple of days ago I had the chance to check out the Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) Inside Generation Style fashion show sponsored by Intel. The show was a celebration of individual style of today’s fashion bloggers and entrepreneurial spirit. The fifteen fashion bloggers featured on the runway wore designs by Norama Kamali’s KamaliKulture and Orla Kiely. The bloggers were adorned with jewelry by BaubleBar, shoes by JustFabulous, hair by ARROJO Studio and makeup beat by Carlie Bifaro. The show was a great combination of high tech and high fashion. The girls strutted down the catwalk in style carrying Intel-Inspired Ultrabooks™.
The 15 fashion bloggers that walked the Inside Generation Style show were…
- Jenni Radosevich from I Spy DIY
- Ann Somma from Holier Than Now
- Laura Elner from On the Racks
- Delmy Riviera from Fashion Bananas
- Jessie Artigue from Style & Pepper
- Jinna Yang from Grease & Glamour
- Caroline Knapp from Sweet Caroline in the City
- Julia DiNardo from Fashion Pulse Daily
- Carolyn Hsu from the Hsu Closet
- Gabi Gregg from Gabi Fresh
- Christine Bibbo Herr from NYCPretty
- Samantha Lim from FashionIndie
- Eileen Dautruche from Miss Whoever You Are
- Danielle Bernstein from We Wore What
- Christina Topacio from ProFresh Style
Here are some of my favorite looks of the night.
Below is what I wore that evening. I didn’t go home from work and change so I just wore what I had on at work.
J. Crew Blazer | Old Navy Tank | Gap Denim | Cole Haan Leather High Heeled Oxfords
I’m working a 2nd day wash and go on my hair here. Although I have been wearing my hair natural the majority of my life (press and curls), I am finally getting the hang of what products work for my hair. I am slowly learning that I just need to keep it simple. So I no longer spend hours in the bathroom trying to manipulate my hair. I spend 30 – 45 minutes at the most. I hate having to live at the mercy of my hair. Those days are gone.
So the fine people at Intel were giving away two Intel-Inspired Ultrabooks™ at the fashion show. And guess who won one of the notebooks?? Me!! I was so happy that I started jigging on the runway during the final walk. I thought the show was over and didn’t realize they had to still do their final walk. Oops!!
This was the jig that I decided to do on the runway mid show! Yes, I can be a fool sometimes!
I don’t have the notebook in my hands yet. It is going to be mailed. I will do a complete write up once it’s delivered. Did I mention this is the 2nd computer I have won from an IFB event? I guess I’m a lucky gal!
If you weren’t able to attend the show, you can catch it right here.
