I love NYC more and more every day. Why? Because you can go out and have a ball without spending a dime. There is always some kind of catered industry event, opening or screening going on which are free provided you are on the guest list. There is no excuse why you should go broke on one night of festivities in Manhattan.
If you enjoy a good freebie like myself, I have put together a list for you of the free bar food that is available in NYC (as long as you purchase a drink).
Alligator and Crocodile Lounge – free personal pizza with the purchase of a drink.
The Brazen Head – Free wings on Monday from 5pm until they are all gone. Cheese and crackers on Wednesday. Bagels on Sunday.
Boulevard Tavern – $5 all you can eat BBQ on select days. (Call 1st)
Full Circle Bar – free hotdogs and pretzels with free ski ball.
Macri Park – free pizza and burgers on Saturdays and Sundays starting Memorial Day.
Rudy’s – free hot dogs every day with a beer.
The Charleston – $1 for the pizza with a drink purchase.
Don’t forget about the dollar dumpling spots around New York.

Great guide! You really can be frugal in the city, just have to keep your eyes out!
Most people think of NYC as an expensive place to eat and drink, but guides like this always prove that doesn’t have to be the case. $5 all you can eat barbecue at the Boulevard is an amazing deal!
