A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a makeup session with celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal at Henri Bendel. Her clients have included Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Mariah just to name a few. I have followed her career since she first started doing J-Lo’s makeup. I often try to recreate her J-Lo glow, but I haven’t perfected it yet.
This was my “before” face. I was under the impression that Mally was going to do our make-up so I came bare faced. I was wrong. She wasn’t doing anyone’s face. That was earlier and $500 a pop.
She gave some very good makeup tips and talked about her products. Her line sells at Henri Bendel and QVC.
All of her products were displayed. The packaging looks great. Of course I love anything pink.
I did get to get my makeup done by one of her brand reps.
This is my “after” pic. What do you think? I ended up buying the Ultimate Performance Full Coverage Foundation in Rich and the Twinblush Blush & Highlighter. I did love the eye make-up, but I own too much already. I wanted to buy something I could really use. It’s all about spending my money wisely. I have used the foundation almost every day and it is really light. The sponge that came with the foundation is great. It doesn’t pack the foundation on your face. I don’t like to look like I have makeup on. I prefer a more natural face. You can also buy additional sponges (Mally Beauty Ultimate Performance Applicator) from QVC.
