I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday. Mine was divine. My dad doesn’t grill anymore. Partly because we don’t have a working grill and the other because he can’t stand for long periods of time. So usually what we do as a family for these types of holidays is order Famous Dave’s. And as always the food is delicious. I like the fact that you can walk right in or call in an order on a holiday. You don’t have to place an order days in advance. That’s what I call proper planning as a business for the holidays.
I’ve read quite a few interesting stories over the week that I think you will enjoy too.
- You know I can’t stand exaggerated eyebrows. It’s the worst. Now folks are dying their brows with henna to fill them in. I think I can tolerate these. They actually look really good.
- I agree with all of the ten things on this list of dos and don’ts when traveling. Some of you don’t have any class.
- I love thrifting and finding vintage pieces to sell. I’ve been pretty well with my eBay store but I’m looking to branch out to other platforms. This is an inspiring story about a teen who paid for college by selling on Etsy. Find out how she did it.
- Inspired by nail and blow dry salons, MAC will open its own version: a makeup salon. Think Dry Bar for your face.
- If “storage full” notifications on your iPhone or iPad are always interfering with your play time. You need to read this.

Yes, I read about the girl who’ll be paying for college education with the money she’s earned from her Etsy’s shop. I crochet and I’m definitely feeling inspired to re-open my shop or even add a shop to my blog. No need in letting my gift go to waste, especially when I have kids to put through college later. Time to get started on really boosting those college savings account.
What are you waiting on? Just do it!
