I dabble in a little styling on the side and had the pleasure of working with Robin Givhan for the October 2010 issue of B.L.A.C. Magazine. Robin Givhan is currently the fashion editor for The Washington Post. She won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for criticism. Robin is the first to win a Pulitzer Prize for fashion writing. And she is a Detroit native like myself.
The images were shot by renowned photograper Piper Carter at Ink48 Hotel in New York City. Also a Detroit native, her work ranges from French Vogue to Essence Magazine.
The fashion’s that Robin Givhan wore for the cover were all by Detroit designers except for the shoes which were Christian Louboutin. The top, belt and skirt were by Eugenia Paul and the beautiful necklace was designed by Tiffany Massey.
