I’ve realized that I’ve dragged this post about my fabulous summer vacation long enough. I’ve been trying to get caught up with my business since I was gone for two weeks. And life always gets in the way. But I’m back to tell you about our next stop on the Norwegian Cruise. Cannes, France! Oui! It was one of my favorite cities we visited.
Cannes (pronounced [kan]) is a city located on the French Rivera. The city is known for hosting the rich and famous, lux hotels, nice restaurants and a slew of festivals. Let’s just say it was my kind of town. I love luxury!
We were only there for a short day so we only had chance to see two areas. The Promenade de la Croisette which is the avenue along the waterfront that has beaches, restaurants and hi-end boutiques. And the Rue d’Antibes which is the cutest shopping area I’ve ever seen while traveling. There were all types of stores. From the obscure to high-end. There is something for everyone on this street. I don’t make it a habit of going shopping when I travel. I like to explore and learn about the town itself, but I wasn’t traveling alone, so there’s that. Remember: Travel light, travel far.
When I was looking back on my pictures, I realized I really didn’t take that many. So you will have to take my word for it that Cannes was simply beautiful. I definitely plan to come back to the French Rivera. You better believe that!
