Hey you guys! I was so excited when Jess Lam reached out to me and wanted me to share some info on my little blog about her website she co-founded called Style Says. Her site, Style Says, wants to help shoppers make better decisions through sale alerts, free shipping notifications, and shopping in real-time with friends. Sales? That’s right up my alley!! So instead of me talking about it, I decided to have Jess write a guest post instead. So here goes….
What our StyleSays about Us
Do you have friends all over the place like me? After graduation last June I moved to San Francisco and my friends scattered to Miami, LA, and of course New York. At first it was easy to stay in touch but I began to miss our favorite past time. We’d spend entire Saturdays exploring dozens of shops to discover unique items. It wasn’t even so much about the clothes as it was the adventure.
To fill the void we started sending links of outrageous clothing, items we desperately wanted, and outfits for upcoming trips. It wasn’t the same though.
One day while video chatting with a friend I noticed that she was shopping for a bathing suit for an upcoming trip to Mexico. We started sending options back and forth and soon we were comparing tons of suits while actually talking. That’s when it started to feel like we were really shopping together again.
Soon there after StyleSays was born. For about the the last two weeks I’ve set up numerous shopping dates with friends. We’ll go online and browse hundreds of items, while catching up on each other’s lives. And now I can get a trusted opinion on items I’m unsure about without having to wait for on an email.
My style has always been about me. But I’ve started to realize that it’s also a part of my friends. It’s not what my style says about me, it’s what our style says about us.

This sounds like a great site. I have a friend (shout out to Simone) who always emails pictures of some sort of clothing titled "Yay or Nay". This would be a great outlet to get friend’s opinions and co-sign.
