Last weekend my friend, Jennifer, invited me to sit in on a taping of The Bill Cunningham Show.  It’s a new talk show that will start airing in September.  I have sat in the audience of many talk shows, from Jenny Jones to David Letterman.  That’s sort of a perk with living in NYC.  A lot of shows are taped here in the city.  I even met one of my best friends, Renee, in the audience of a talk show when I was 16.  The show was called Wavelengths and it travelled from city to city taping shows. The show came to Detroit and we ended up sitting next to each other in the audience and we have been friends ever since.

I really didn’t know what to expect at The Bill Cunningham Show.  I’m not familiar with him at all.  But after a Google search I learned that he is an on air radio personality that has been on for years.  He was also an attorney who served as an Assistant Attorney General in Ohio. Now Bill has branched out to host a new daily national television program that will air in September.

We ended up sitting through 2 shows.  One show was about cheap men and the other was about people that want to become famous by getting on a reality show.  The show definitely had a "Jerry Springer" vibe to it. Some parts were very funny.  I sat in the 1st row and made a comment, so hopefully I got some TV time in. Oh, I’m not camera shy!

Of course pictures weren’t allowed, but I did manage to capture one in the studio.

Be sure to check out the show when it airs September 19!
