I haven’t posted in a minute so I wanted to let you know I’m still breathing. Last week was really uneventful except that I got the amazing opportunity to live tweet and photograph for AT&T at the Rucker Park Tournament 2012. (More on that later.)
I’m still rocking my natural hair straight. I can’t believe it has lasted this long in this heat and humidity. But I wore a press-n-curl from childhood until way after college. So I do know how to maintain my hair. In fact, I didn’t get a perm until I moved to NYC. I couldn’t get anyone to do a press for under $80. Therefore I did what every one else did and started going to the Dominican hair salons. They were fast, convenient and cheap. I had never heard of a walk-in appointment until then. That is unheard of in Michigan.
It was also my youngest munchkins Birthday celebration. She had her natural hair straightened for the occasion. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend, but we will have our own celebration in a couple of weeks.
This post has been brought to you via my iPhone. I wanted to get a post in while I am on the move today. I really need to do this more often. It’s so simple. Except I still need to figure out how to center my images without centering my text. Oh well. Baby steps!
