Green has dominated this season’s color palette. It is the hottest color trend this fall. We even saw head-to-toe green on the runway at Diane von Furstenberg and Alberta Ferretti during fashion week. I decided to translate the color trend of this season and add it to my nails.
I used color "Dree" from the Zoya Smoke Fall 2011 Collection that I received as part of my gift bag during Blogger Night Out. I was inspired by Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere to get jazzy with my ring finger and use glitter. She posted a tutorial on her blog on how to create a glitter nail. I purchased the Martha Stewart Crafts 24 Vial Glitter Multi-Pack from Michaels to decorate my nails. I really liked this glitter because it came in a shaker container which made the application very easy, but I wasn’t too fond of the $27 price tag. I do not ever buy anything at Michaels without a coupon and they just happened to have a coupon for 50% off one item. I was able to save $13. Yahoo!
I am not talented with painting my nails yet, so I brought all of my supplies to the nail shop and got a professional manicure. The nail tech didn’t have any problems with it. I really like how they turned out. What kind of funky ways are you jazzing up your nails

I love this look and this post because I, myself, being the glitter obsessed Pisces that I am, just a mere 4 weeks ago purchased the 24 vile Martha Stewart Glitter kit from Michael’s. I too was appalled at the price and luckily had a 40% off coupon. I sported a very similar nail art look as yours, but with a dark red and copper glitter on my ring finger. I cannot wait to try every color of glitter that’s in that kit!
Your nails look fabo btw! …and have confidence…that glitter is on your side with it comes to a diy manicure! I swear I did mine in about 10 min and it looked shockingly professional.
Pisces are creative people!! You will have to send me a pic of your nails. I have been obsessed with doing my nails funky lately. I having been getting so inspired by all of these D.I.Y. bloggers I follow. They make it look so easy. I’m going to have to work on painting my nails myself. I used to do them all the time when I was a middle schooler and then I started getting them professionally done in high school. I haven’t really done them myself since. I have tried, but have failed. I will try again soon!!!
