Since my mom has been in town all week, we have been on the go.  Before her arrival, I was able to score tickets to see a taping of The Wendy Williams Show.  Yay me!

We LOVE Wendy!! When I moved to NYC 10 years ago I quickly fell in love with her radio show.  She held me down through my long driving commutes for my previous job.  I was constantly on the road travelling to various stores in the tri-county area.  I don’t know what I would have done without her on the radio.  Oh…and the bonus hour she added to her show was the bomb!

Even though we had confirmed tickets, that didn’t guarantee admittance into the show. We had to get to the studio by 8am. We arrived at about 7:45am and were the 70th person in line. We thought we were doing good by getting there 15 minutes early. That was a huge accomplishment for myself because I can’t get anywhere on time. I’m always on CP time.

I had to get up at 5am so I could wash my hair.  I swear a ‘wash and go’ is not true to it’s name.  It is a process.  It takes me an hour to wash and detangle my hair.  I had to sit under my Dominican hair dryer because I was pressed for time. Thankfully this sped up my hair drying time.

Have you ever scanned the audience in the Wendy Williams Show? The audience is always colorful. I’m all about color. I wanted to stay within the theme and wear bright colors.

We were seated in the nose bleed section.  I mean the very last row. *sigh* I just knew my cute self was going to end up in the front. LOL. Oh well. I guess the "F” on my ticket meant “Far from the front”.  I was shocked that many of my friends commented that they saw me on the show.  I just knew I didn’t get any air time since I was sitting in the rafters.

The show guests that day were Star Jones and Steve Guttenberg.  They were very entertaining.  There was also a segment on summer beauty must haves.  The audience was allowed to take pictures of Wendy after the taping.

We got to leave with some gifts too.  Steve Guttenberg gifted the audience with his book, The Guttenberg Bible.  We also got this awesome mascara from Anastasia called Lash Genius Waterproof Topcoat.  It’s some sort of mascara that makes any mascara you are wearing waterproof.  How awesome?  I love my YSL mascara. This is a perfect topcoat for it to keep it waterproof.

My mom’s visit is almost over.  The week flew by so fast. She leaves tomorrow and I’m going to miss her when she’s gone.
